The Rider
Paul Peloquin learned of the special challenges of?>
transitioning women offenders while working as a cor-
rections officer at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.
Paul now serves as Treasurer of PRISM, Inc., sponsor
of Shelly’s House. He also continues to work for the
Oregon Department of Corrections as a Training and
Development Specialist.
Paul’s been motorcycling for over 26 years and rode
across country just months after learning to ride a bike.
That trip set the hook; his love of motorcycle travel
was born. He completed his first SaddleSore 1000
(one thousand miles in 24 hours) in 2000. Since then,
he’s competed in numerous endurance events and fin-
ished 18th in the 2007 Iron Butt Rally. In September
of 2008, Paul rode an incredible 6033 miles in five
days during the Run What Ya Brung III rally.
